Current Record:
In March 1999, Ralf Laue (Leipzig, Germany), made a web page with a length of 563.6 kilometres and a file size of only 21,698 kB. The entire page, when displayed, is blank. - Record found in Guinness World Records 2001.
Length Explanation (72 dpi Web Page):
28 pixels in height = about 1 centimeter.
100,000 centimeters = 1 kilometer.
563.6 kilometers = Current World Record.
The Journey:
Simply put, to reach the destination of having a homepage as long as 564 kilometers through the addition of text hyperlinks contributed by the world.
