1. What is the idea here?
To build the world's longest homepage
of relevance. In other words, there currently is a world record for the longest webpage, however, it has no content in it. That's right - a blank page. Our goal is to beat the record, while making the page of use to those who visit. People from all over the world will contribute by placing links on the page.
You can buy as many text links as you'd like. Be as creative as you'd like. No obscene or offensive links are allowed.
The links you purchase will be displayed on the homepage permanently. Using some of the money we make from the site, we guarantee to keep it online for as long as the internet exists. We're aiming to be the leader on the internet forever, so we believe having a link on this site will provide a great value.

2. Who owns this site?
This site is a project developed by PC Optimized, LLC, a small business in Arizona, USA. We've established ourselves successfully as a business who supports other small businesses with their computing needs. We've been a legal business for 5 years.

3. Why are you doing this?
Passion. It's all about passion. We love building usable software solutions to help make computing life easier. While we usually develop for small businesses, this time we're doing it for us and for fun. Well, actually, those who put their links on here will be benefitting as well, so we guess we're still doing something to help others benefit too.

4. How did you come up with the idea?
Honestly, we've had this pressing desire to make something big on the internet for quite some time. We were trying to think of how we could find a way for a large group of people to pitch in, while spending a minimal amount of money. But we also wanted to provide a way for people to find value in their purchase. After searching around for big things on the internet, it became apparent to us that we could involve the masses in building the World's Longest Homepage. Simple, easy, low cost. In addition, those who purchase links will enjoy their space on here forever.

5. Why are you charging to put links on the site? Can't you do it for free?
Good question. While we'd like to offer something free, there are still costs involved in doing a site like this. Server space, Administration, Programming, Marketing, etc. In addition, charging a small fee will also tend to turn spammers away. These and other factors are taken into consideration. We have families and children to feed as well.
The price we're charging, however, is a very nominal fee. $1 for advertising on a page destined to become popular. Where else can you get such a return?

6. Why should I buy a text link here? Is this a Link Farm?
This is a great question. This site will become popular. As our popularity grows, having a link on our site back to your site will help your popularity grow. The term "link farm" is applied to sites that have pages with nothing but outgoing links. They'll have very little to zero incoming links. Our homepage contains links + content and we have very many incoming links. As the list of links on our homepage grows, so will our content. This site is not a link farm. Nor will we ever let it become one.
We plan to make this site fun and encouraging for people to come back and click on the links of those who are on the homepage. If you've spent any money on online marketing before, you'll agree that a link for $1 can go a long way in promoting your own site.

7. How long will my link stay on the page?
Your standard link will remain on the page forever. Currently, the domain name has been registered for 10 years. If you purchased the featured option, your link will drop to the standard area once the featured timeframe is complete. After that, the link will remain on the page forever. In other words, no matter which option you choose, your link will stay on our site forever.

8. What about other sites with similar ideas, do you care?
We encourage other sites to be out there doing what we do. Ideas spring from other people's ideas. We believe there is enough pie for everyone to have a piece. In addition, we're sure you'll want to spend more than just $1 on promoting your site. Internet promotion involves trying new marketing ideas that you feel comfortable with. And when you see another site like ours, purchase a link on theirs too. Be aware, though, we're challenging every site out there. We're making the run and have every intention in being the one and only WORLD'S LONGEST HOMEPAGE!

9. How long will it take for my link to show?
Once you've purchased, and the funds have cleared, your site will show instantly. You can view it on the homepage immediately after your purchase. If your link does not show immediately after purchase, please give it some time. If there was an unseen issue that arose during the checkout process, we'll make sure your link is up within a day, usually less.

10. What is the featured option?
Every month we'll have limited slots open for featured links. Currently, featured links means links that will be placed at the top and in the "Featured" box. The link will remain in this box for 30 days. Once the 30 days expires, the link will automatically move down into the list of standard links and will continue to remain on the site forever. We have other ideas for featuring links and will possibly implement them in the future. Every intention is geared toward helping those who purchase links on our site to boost their own page ranks.

11. Why is the featured option not showing when I configure my link?
The featured option will only show on the "Buy Link" page when there are featured link slots available. When the availability has filled, the option for featured will not show. As soon as a new slot opens, the featured link option will show.

12. Can I put pornographic links on this site?
We will not allow any pornographic, offensive, gambling, alcohol/drug related, or hate links on this site. If you purchase a link with any of this content in your wording or with the destination of the link going to a site of such nature, we will remove the link and will not refund your money. You've been warned. Do not post any of these links on our site nor expect to get a refund when we remove the link.
